I don't think it matters if you're rooted per se. But most custom roms block it and sprecovery blocks it. So if you rooted but kept stock recovery you should be g2g.

Chalk me up in the "regret" column. I'm reading up on flashing sbf back to 2.0.1 so I can reroot and then update to Pete's 2.1 ora with root.

What disappoints me is the speed. I Mister overclockong. But in mky humble opine...if you don't overclock you'd probably be happy with the ota 2.1 without root.
