My Droid X is unrooted with the new 2.3.340 update.
Best phone I've owned yet, really illustrated just how crappy a BB Storm is.
The Droid X has a preinstalled Kindle app and it can't be uninstalled. This is version 1.0.076480048.
The version on the Android market is 1.1.0.90220088. Apparently the folks at Verizon didn't see fit to update the Kindle app though it was very important to force the Madden game down our throats.
Does anyone know what occurs if the newest version of the Kindle app is installed from the market?
Does it overwrite the Verizon version already installed or is the new version installed as a second app?
Thank you for any answers based on fact instead of opinion.
