Question about the Bootloader

I have missed flashing so I am considering rooting and flashing a fancy rom tonight. I have been researching and I'm curious if the Verizon bootloader can be unlocked since the latest ota. I don't remember where but I do believe I read it cannot. Just want to make sure before I dive head first and screw something up.

I just received my phonea few days ago, and I'm already running paranoid Android (i suggest it. Great rom) so unless within the past few days Verizon and sammy released an ota that i don't know about, you should be good
