Question about Flashing a new Rom

I have the previous version of GummyJar. It was the first rom I flashed and want to now update to the newest one. If I just simply flash the new rom in recovery will it erase everything like apps and all that?

If you flash over your current version it will not erase anything, but its advised to do a full wipe even when upgrading same rom version's

Chew is right that most devs do recommend a wipe/factory reset in CWR when installing their roms, even just updates. I ran AOKP for quite a while and routinely did not do wipes between updates and had no issues. I used to do that on the Droid 1 over and over and over. If I do have issues, I simply reboot into CWR and reflash the rom without a wipe. If issues continue, I then reflash rom with wipe. This process has always worked for me.

My advice would be to try and see. If issues develop, deal with them.

Good luck.
