Question about ext SD cards

I want to switch the SDs between my bionic and my D1. Does either phone need the SD to boot? I'm thinking copy both SDs in mass storage mode to their own directories on my PC, then delete everything, power down both phones switch the cards, and then past the contents back in in mass storage mode....will that work with no surprises? My card reader has quit which eliminates the easy option :(

Make sure you don't have any apps installed to the SD card on your OG Droid -- if you do, move them back to internal storage. The Bionic cannot install apps to the external SD card (Media Area only) so it shouldn't be an issue there.

Keep in mind that the OG Droid came with a Class 2 card, while the Bionic comes with a Class 4, so there may be some performance differences.

yeah, this is just a workaround until I get a 32GB class 4, but with zumocast, the new google music etc, no rresident music on device I might not need but 16 GB....Thanks
