question about emails

Sorry for a stupid question, new to this stuff. I want a loud ring to notify me of an email. How do I do this?

Hello and welcome to the forum. Go into settings, sounds, notification ringtone, and scroll through and find a sound that you want to hear, when you decide tap OK.

That will be the default tone that you should hear for text messages and emails.
