PSX4Droid V2 $1.99 (Today Sale Ends)

Just a heads up.

NOTE: Sale ends very soon! (Today)
Updated with fixes, frameskip, and FPS counter!

psx4droid v2 is a Sony Playstation 1 emulator for high-end Androids (600MHz+ recommended).

psx4droid v2 is completely redone, requiring a new product as savestates aren't compatible.

Upgrade to v2 for a reduced price as I fix issues that pop up.

Recent changes:
- Many critical bugs fixed.
- Added auto frameskip. Enabled by default. As this skips rendering, it can cause render bugs. Disable if this is the case.
- Added fps/framerate counter option.

This is a total SCAM! V2 is no better than the the original that he released. I've bought and tried both and they run exactly the same. Which is slow and practically unplayable.

I don't see how he could have the gall to charge $2 for an update after he ripped people off with his $5 original and just abandoned it.

Each update he made it worse and he pulls this stunt. Read the comments for this app in the market. Don't waste your money

I bought the original and I upgraded to this version. I figured 2 bucks was worth having MGS run on it. Yes it is slow but it is playable. The Wiimote Classic Controller works great to control it! Mmmm...Metal Gear Solid on my Droid X...

Ya I find this version works well, most games I have tried have worked.

Tony Hawk does not work yet, someone confirm?

Now it's back up to $6... LMAO.

Also, the original PSX4Droid's new update is the same as V2, so I don't know why you would pay for V2.

I agree with the people who feel this is BS. Normally, i'm all for supporting devs; but this guy makes a buggy emulator; never actually fixes it; and then releases a v2 that is an additional purchase and still isn't exactly what it should be. I almost feel like we are PAYING to beta test his apps. And they're not cheap, at $5.99 the emulator is priced more than some of the big-name games.

EDIT: I just read the following on his twitter:

An upcoming psx4droid v2 1.0.6 (free update to original v1 users too) will have more sound fixes including FF8 BGM fix. about 15 hours ago via Tweetie for Mac

It looks like maybe he had a change of heart (probably spawned by tons of unhappy customers) and the next update to v1 will be a free update.

For people like myself that returned V1 the day it came out, V2 was a cheap way to go.

*edited out comment*

sorry was going to say that if you returned your own app, but just realized it wasn't your app XD sorry for the random post ^^;

I have this app for my Droid X. I bought an Acer Iconia A500 tab and it doesnt show up on the market. Any ideas?
