i have a ps3 and heard lots of problems with the 360...the main reason i like about the ps3 is that it is free to play online and was easy to hack Modern Warfare 2...not aimbot and stuff like that but like 100% trophies and unlock everything in split-screen/lan party...but i hope they can do a trophy glitch for Black Ops...haha its just funny to do it...

And 360 users hear a lot of "bad" about ps3. I had a used 360 that lasted me 4 years. It finally red ringed after that, I played a lot. Couldn't be happier. There are always going to be bad apples of the releases.

ps3's suffer from the ylod (yellow light of death)

ive played both and though i loved my ps2 for many years i went to the other side with a 360 and i'm still happy that i did.

but really just look at what console exclusive games you're more interested in and what system your friends play, that is if you are interested in playing online

i have ps3. just got it. though i don't play a lot of games. i got new hd tv and wanted a blu-ray player and something that would stream netflix. so i figured why not get something i can play games on to

Haha, we just bought kinect and my wife kicks my butt in the dance game. My 4 year old loves kinectimals.

I was never a fan of the PS1 or the PS2, there where/are a lot of great games for them, but I just did like the systems. On the other hand I loved the Xbox from day 1, so when the new Gen consoles came out and I could only afford 1 I stuck with the Xbox have not looked back once. I would make the same choice now, and yes I have played games on the PS3 and yes it is 1 hell of an impressive piece of hard ware, but I'll take the 360 any day of the week. Xbox live works great & you can stream netflix. I think a lot of it is personal prefrance but for me it's the 360!

They are both great systems.
I have a 360 and prefer it for online games. The PS3 succeeds in having a built-in bluray player(which IMO is one of the main reasons that Blu-ray won the format war over HD-DVD). I can't wait to see Microsoft swallow adding a built-in bluray player to their next system. Again IMO the 360 has a better online experience although you have to pay to play online, which leads to another reason the PS3 can be considered better with its free online play.

In the graphics department both systems seem equal as my friend has a PS3 and I play weekely on it. Some games seem better on one system over the other on multi console games though.

In terms of the new motion technology, the PS3 wins hands down. I played both and while the kinect is good it gets boring quite fast. The PS Move however is a vast improvement over the Wii-Mote.

I would get the PS3 to play the exaclucive games and as a bluray player but I already have a 7.1 channel surround sound Blu-ray player, and don't have the need for a second Blu-ray player. Even though the PS3's loads Blurays in about 10 seconds compared to my home theator's about 2 minutes.

As for games Microsoft's dominance with the Halo series is over, most of the games comming out this year that I want to play, mostly FPS are going to be multi console: Duke Nukem Forever, Crysis 2, Uncharted 3 PS3 only, even Mass Effect 2 is supposed to be commingle to the PS3. Microsoft seems to be to focused on the kinect as of now. The only title I see my self wanting to play is Gears of War 3.

So in my opinion the PS3 is the all in one console for every thing you would want to do. The 360 is great for its exclusives but lacing a Blu-ray player, it does however have a more comfortable controller.

The PS3 is better, it plays blu-ray, you can play online for free, it has a built-in web browser, and it doesn't sound like a vacuum cleaner (which gets really distracting if you're using it to watch a movie).
