Problems while charging

I have noticed some issues with the phone while its charging. I was not able to even send out a text message while the phone was charging yesterday. It slowed everything down so much that I couldn't even type on the keyboard. Has anyone else had this issue?

Also, while I was at work I plugged the phone into my laptop to charge. I was listening to Pandora with the app and it froze. I closed the app and had to turn the phone off. After that it did not show that the phone was charging when I plugged it in to my laptop via USB. I opened Pandora back up and started listening to it while the phone was plugged in. Even though the indicator did not show that the phone was being charged, it did not look like I was loosing any battery life. I listened to Pandora for about an hour and the battery meter was the same as when I started.

Overall I am actually pretty happy with the phone and the battery life. You can make it through the day pretty easily with a full charge. Has anyone else noticed these issues? Hopefully an update can fix them. Will the phone automatically download the update that is supposed to come out monday?

Were you using the Motorola charger that came with the phone? If not, it's probably a voltage issue from 3rd party chargers that causes the touchscreen to be very inaccurate or not register touches at all. Sometimes makes it feel like it's slow, but really it just didn't know you wanted it to do anything. :)

The usb charger on your computer can't put out as much power as a wall charger. I only plug my phone into the computer to move things, for charging use a car charger or a wall, it will charge twice as fast because it has a higher output.

This is probably the reason. I was using my buddies charger for a Blackberry. I did notice that when I also used my LG charger at home it was not as slow as the BB charger.
