Problems while charging?

For some reason, when my phone is plugged in, the touch keyboard goes completely wacky. It pushes multiple letters at once, and puts in random enters and tabs. There's no problems at all when the charger is not plugged in.

ETA: It doesn't seem to have a problem if the phone is laying on a flat surface. Only when I'm holding it in my hand.

This has been experienced by others and some have resolved this by changing charges. Are you using a stock or other charger?

You need to use a Motorola Charger. Not really sure why this is but I have this same problem if I use another brand charger. Happens on both my Droid 4 and my Droid X.

happens to mine as well. i use the droid wall plug but i have extended usb cables and it still happens. appears to be some electrostatic discharge problem messing with the touchscreen.

Some of the aftermarket AC to DC adapters have a lot of electricial noise that intefeares with the keyboard or some functions. Try an OEM or better grade of charger.
