Problem with Bluetooth speaker and volume control

I was wondering if anyone had any tips on this issue. I just bought a Philips sound shooter Bluetooth speaker. The issue is that i can not adjust the volume on the sound wireless. I have connected a Samsung S3 to the device and it work perfectly. And i tried my Droid with a Jambox and it worked perfectly. I just don't understand the issue I'm having

I have tired other sound control apps. I running the stock 4.1.2

having a similar problem with my Braven speaker. Problem only with that speaker, and only when I use my razr , (hd and not hd) phones. the phones work great with other speakers and the speaker works great with other phones and tablet. Looking forward to any feed back you get here.
