Problem pairing with Bluetooth device

When I try to pair with my SENA SMH10 headset I get a "there was a problem pairing with SENA SMH10 because the PIN or passkey is incorrect". I am not prompted to enter the passkey, which is 0000. Can anyone help?

My thunderbolt wont pair with my $80 Bluetooth keyboard either.. I am forming a theory about HTC phones and Bluetooth... anyhow, you're probably sol unfortunately...!
