Prioritizing Apps

Hi everyone....I am a noob poster (here), so I apologize in advance if I do not provide all info needed immediately. If I left something out you need to know to answer my question, please ask.

I have a Motorola Droid Razr running on VzW in the US. I've had it for about 5 months since getting it as a warranty replacement from Verizion for my ever-plagued Bionic.

What I want to do seems straight forward in my mind, but I don't know what tools/apps/process I need to follow to make it happen. When I go running, I want to run three apps: Runtastic Pro, Couch to 5K Pro, and Pandora. While I'm running, I want to turn off all other apps (E-mail polling, Facebook notifications, and any and all other notifications other than those from the aforementioned three apps). When I start these three apps, my phone seems to run like molasses. Also, while running all three, my battery drain seems to go into hyper-drive so conservation of power would be a benefit too. Is there a fairly straight-forward way that I can make this happen? I really like the SmartActions app that let's me "do things" based on a set of specific conditions, but I don't see a SmartAction that is tied to a specific app launching.

Thanks in advance!

have you tried going into setting>accounts & sync and just turning sync off while your running? then cut it back on when you finish your run.
