Preventing OTA update on rooted phone

I have a rooted phone and have started getting the notification to update the firmware. I have read other forums which say at that some point it auto-updates.

I prefer keeping the current Android version (4.3) and not loosing my root. Can you tell how can I prevent the auto-update and disable the constant reminder.

Use Titanium Backup to freeze SDM 1.0.

I downloaded the update, just in case I wanted it later. Then I froze SDM. So far, so good.
