Preventing lock when the screen times out

I've searched a bit and didn't see anything on this subject - if there is already a thread, please kick me in the right direction!

Is there a way to prevent the lock from activating when the screen times out?

I'd like the phone to lock only when I press the lock button, but can't seem to find any settings for it.

Thanks for your time,
RD

There is no setting. I downloaded "no lock", it works just fine.

I use screebl, it allowa me to set angle proximities that keep the screen awake until its flat on a surface or until I hit the lock button manually

Thanks for the info, droidism.

I just found another app called AutoLock, so I'll look at both that and screebl.
