Prepping a Droid X for sale

I want to get my DX ready to sell as I have moved on to the MoPho. I have factory reset, cleared cache, data, etc. When it rebooted my gogle account picked up that it was active at that time but I cancelled service a month ago. How can this be. At reboot after reset it came to the activate screen and was then shut off. How do I "clean" the device for selling of ALL personal data and detach it from my google account?
