Here Are The Steps:

1. SBF 2.2.2 After It Boots Turn It Back Off.
2. Get Into Recovery And Factory Reset.
3. Boot Up And Activate The Phone So It Has Phone And 3G By Dialing *228 Or Clicking The Activate Prompt.
4. Install Gingerbreak And Root.
5. Install The Bootstrap Which Is "System Recovery".
6. Click "Install Recovery"
**YOU MUST HAVE THE PHONE PLUGGED INTO THE WALL CHARGER AND NOT USB**
7. Click "Recovery Mode"
8. At The Green Recovery Screen Scroll Down And Choose "Install Zip From SD Card". (That Means Go Find Where You Put It)
9. It Takes A While For It To Update About 5 Minutes Then You'll Get An Error. Something Like (Status 7 Failed) This Is Perfectly Fine.

You're Done Updating, Reboot Phone, It Will Bootloop Once Or Twice.

Next It Sits At The Droid Eye As If You Installed A New ROM.(Which You Did).

Last But Not Least, Enjoy That Yummy Rooted Gingerbread, Courtesy Of P3Droid.

When I used the pre-rooted update, it wiped all of my data. Didn't think it was supposed to do that, lol
