Powerdown when charging

ok maybe i am a idiot or moron but whenever i turn my droid off then plug the charger in it turns itself back on..is there a fix to this or is it just something that cant be fixed...

i love the phone no complaints other than the charging issue...:icon_ banana:

Maybe the Droid monitors the battery charge????

In 6 years, since I first owned a smart phone, I've never turned my phone off. I've put it on silent while I slept, but have never turned it,

I can't figure this out. Why do so many of you wish or care that you can't turn your phone off while charging?

Wouldn't this speed up charging the battery? Like on every electronic devices with rechargeable batteries?

My droid charges up with in a couple hours. If your asleep, then it shouldn't matter.


But all I'm saying is that running a smart phone I've always had software, and resources that I wanted running, so I don't turn my phone off.

I guess it's a bad habit form the old old treos, where you could turn off the telephone service, but not the phone. You could only remove the battery.
