Ok so my D2 ran out of juice and shut itself down like it should. No worries, I just plug in the handy USB charger/data plug and all should be well...right? No.

The light activates on the side where it plugs in and was charging yesterady when I was using it via USB. Now it wont power on, or when it does, I get teh droid eye and a red light in the upper right corner.

Can you not charge this thing from dead with the USB? It has been sitting here for an hour and wont even turn on....

EDIT: Ok - after sitting for like an hour, it finally managed to turn on and is charging... weird.

My other question is why am I getting these stupid texts "Reply YES to reveal your PURE crush" and how the heck to I stop them????

The USB is the slowest way to charge these devices, for the best charge the stock cord and wall charging block are recommended, as far as text messages there are third party messaging apps that let you blacklist numbere from texting you Handcent being one of them
