power up and powering down phone sound

when i reboot my phone, it plays the notification tone for incoming text messages both on powering down and when it powers back on. not sure why this is. didnt always do this. seems to be something new as of the last few days. i reboot my phne atleast once daily.

You somehow turned on the notification that notifies you the sdcard is being prepared.

If you notice it should also make that sound when you turn off usb storage when you unhook from your comp.
