I was shocked to see this. I'm OC at 1.2:

I think something went wrong with my droid....

i flashed 2.2 and it was slow as hellllllll

app drawer took 45 seconds to come up.

i did the benchmark and got less than my 2.1 on 800mhz.....

I did a nandroid of my 2.1 then restored to the 2.2

did I do something wrong?

When you first install 2.2 it will be dog slow.....it is trying to sync your contacts, all your apps that you downloaded and it is starting up all it's new code at the same time. You need to just set it down and come back 30 minutes before you touch it again. It'll pick up speed once it stops doing everything at once. Then you can use setcpu to take it to 800mhz or install one of the other kernals and go to 900/1000/1100/1200 mhz.

exactly, I was kinda bummed at first then I let it do its job and when I came back I was getting the scores in the OP

i dont believe you can yet. I dont think the Ally has been rooted, let alone having the boot loader unlocked.
