Battery life is great thanks. Keep the Bluetooth and Wifi off when not connected I get 8 hours or so on the regular battery. During the week I use the extended battery since talk time can be up to 6 hours of the work day. I have yet to have the need to charge the extended battery after 18 hours of use.
The extended is usually at about 20% after 18 hours.

Im using Go launcher ex. its one of their go widgets from the market with the transparent theme added. I dont know if you can use it with launcher pro but its worth a try. I have since resized it to just show the G and its perfect

I wonder if i can hide my status bar with go launcher :

Go launcher let's you set a swype move that you can set to hide the status bar!

Tap between the icons on the black part. It should bring up a menu.
