Possible Virus

Hello,

A few hours ago I downloaded a free app for Hunger Games wallpapers (which I am now suspecting was a virus because) and now my phone has begun doing bizarre things like freezing after I turn it on, not responding to any of my button presses or screen touching, playing random music from my phone for no reason and the strangest part of all is the fact that I can still respond to incoming calls even though it is completely unresponsive to everything else I do...

What should I do?

(PS: I've attempted taking the battery out and placing it back in several times.)

how to boot into android recovery:
power and volume up
at dual core logo
press and release volume down till android recovery
press volume up to select (if you select wrong option, pull battery and start over)
at ! in triangle with android guy
press both volume buttons
wipe data, scroll with volume buttons, select with power

edit: core not processor, ! in triangle with, and release

Try to uninstall it, and check if your phone is working properly. If it, than before installing any software or game first check its specification.
Also download it form the trusted source, it may possible that if you download from un-trusted site it should be virus.
