POLL: Rooted?

I wouldn't worry about this poll being done before. It has been done before for sure but its one of those things. New members come and old ones go and its polls like these that spark interest in new users and keep the train moving.

Myself I rooted so long ago that I couldn't tell you how to do it now. Flashing that first bugless 2.1 ROM made me feel so smart. I'm sure there is new people who can't even tell you what was before 2.1 but I remember and in hind sight it sucked. Thank God for root and custom Froyo ROM's

Got my Droid in January, it took about a week of reading up on this sight before rooting. Haven't been stock since.dancedroid

yup, just as the poll said, we have another one. but add me to rooted, and do not want to ever have to go back to stock.

Pre-Ordered my Droid last October and Rooted in January on Android 2.0.1

I still have those Original Nandroids if anyone wants to Flash one of them

That would be the equivalent of time travel.

When I made the jump to 2.2 I forgot some .apk files on my 2.1 backup and I had to FlashBack to get them. It reminded me of Back to the Future. Now I always make a copy of my system/app, data/app, and framework and paste it to my SD before flashing anything new.

My story is identical to angler1 - I got my Droid in mid-January, and rooted about a week later. I'd read numerous posts, and was *dying* to play around with roms and themes. Best move I ever made! :)

let me add, that the fact that the droid x bootloader is locked has changed my vuew to get it. A week ago I was on the fence, couple of days I started to sway, the the bootloader issue had me jump off the bandwagon completely.

Not rooted...yet. Beyond overclocking I haven't seen an reason for me to do so.

Notice I did say "yet." Time will tell. I haven't met anyone with a rooted Droid to see what it could do.
