For any of our members that love to race their ATV through the rugged outdoors, or have ever considered doing so, there is an exciting new app to share. Polaris just announced their new ORV Trail Riding Mobile App that will be launched April 12th. It is being made available for both Android and iOS, and has some pretty useful features for your riding adventures. Here's the product description straight from Polaris:
Created by the off-road enthusiasts at Polaris, Polaris ORV Trails is a must-have app for the ATV and Side-by-Side rider. With this app, everything you need for your off-road adventures is only the touch of your finger away.

Included features:
  • display your current location
  • view maps of US off-road trails
  • view weather conditions and advisories for any location
  • find and contact Polaris dealers
  • local services search with integrated direct dialing, including gas stations, restaurants, and lodging
  • save waypoints along your route
  • track and save multiple snowmobile routes
  • automatic map caching so maps can still be viewed while on the trail and outside of data coverage areas*
  • share saved routes to Twitter or Facebook
  • export route data in GPX or CSV format
Grab the all-in-one Polaris ORV Trails app and make your next off-road adventure your greatest!
If you have never had a chance to try out riding in a RZR, or other Polaris ATV, its definitely worth your time. And now, starting April 12th, with this feature packed app, you will have all the info you need to help you focus even more on the fun!

Hmm, don't really do ATV's, but I do a lot of snowmobiling on park trails and stuff. Wonder if it'd be useful for that as well.

Most ORV trails are out of coverage, so the question remains, will this app truly be useful?

Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to check that out.

Been working so much the RZR has been in hibernation for a while. :(

After searching "Polaris" in the play store I found they have an ORV and snow trail app.

Their snowmobile app came out first. I have had it all winter. I don't use it much because I have a garmin mounted to my sled with all of the snowmobile trails loaded on it.

Maybe where you are, but where I'm located, that is not the case. Most have coverage, but then again, I live in TN where when 4g LTE first went live, we were one of the first to get it and everyone was so pissed! LOL, Seriously, Verizon's coverage here is borderline on absolutely ridiculous but that's gotta be why be why they have the stranglehold on the market here.

Anyway, I'm interested in this app. Glad it was posted!
