Yeah, you just have to lead it to the brand and the static IP for the setup. It runs on both your PC and your Droid. No issues unless I switch to the VPN tunnel for work and then it gets a little confused, but for straightforward printing ability from the Droid, it's great!
I just tried the printer share (PS) app from the market and installed it on my desktop. However I haven't been able to test it from my droid bcuz PS doesn't support my wi-fi printer (which is a Dell V515w) as a matter of fact it doesn't support any of Dell's printers. You can still use an unsupported nearby printer as a remote printer but you have to send the doc from your phone to your computer to print it out....and you only get 20 free pages.

And my printer is a Dell AIO 968. It works great once you configure for the static IP address. My app says I get 100 free pages, so not sure if that's because I got it a few months ago or what.
