plz help!!! display wont display!

Ok in a nutshell... I had a rom on my sd card in my moto droid a855 meant for another phone. Droid got wet and after it rebooted display wont turn on. I can still slide my finger where the unlock slide is and it unlocks and gives haptic feedback but no screen. How can I fix plz. Blind. I think it might have loaded the b"bad" rom?

After it got wet did you remove the battery and place it in uncooked rice?

Yes I placed it in rice as well as took a blow dryer to it on low cool setting. Everything works, the camera, volume controls, you name it; I just cant SEE anything on the screen. It doesnt light up at all. Yet it still responds to touch...
