Plls help me with some n00b questions pls!

Thanks for reading this. First thing - I love the Razr, simply amazing. Id like to root it - but can someone pls tell me the "danger" with this. I know disclaimers etc etc but in all reality, what is the real chance of bricking the phone? I mean would I have to be seriously unlucky? Like if I powered off the phone during the transformation would it not work?

Might want to try and move this over to the hacks section of the Razr forum, I am sure they would have a lot more info there.

Just do alot of reading first! Its very easy to root the Razr, as of now, rooting can freeze apps and get free tethering (no custom roms that i know of). Lost of power or yanking out the usb cable could possible cause something to go wrong during root. Process takes only a few few minutes. And unrooting is just as easy! you should be fine as long as you follow all the directions.

Guess I am not following your questions.....let's see. Rooting your phone should pose no danger on it's own....it's what you can do after that. Yes there is a real chance of bricking you are just flash stuff at random without doing research or asking questions. No you don't have to be seriously unlucky...just simply unprepared.

Powering off at the wrong time could be damaging all on it's own.

To be honest....based off your questions.....you aren't ready to root....you have a lot of research ahead of you.
