Home Smart Action
These are the ones that run throughout the day. I can manually change some things if I am on the road. Have not messed with a smart action yet to setup for the road.
- Trigger is wifi at work
- Ringer Volume 100%
- Display timeout 1 minute
- Brightness 29%
- GPS off
- Cellular Data Disable
- Bluetooth off
- Background Sync off
- Wallpaper to show I am at work
Home Smart Action
- Trigger Wireless at home
- Ringer 100% Brightness 11%
- Cellular Data Disable
- GPS off
- Bluetooth off
- Wallpaper to show I am at home
- Trigger is Display off and Charging set to not Charging
- GPS off
- Background Sync off
- Wi-fi off

Yeah, the passive battery drain is slow when you have smart actions app turn off cellular data when screen is off. However, watch some YouTube via 4g and watch how fast the battery capacity drains.

Best I can remember, my old phone drained like crazy when I used it wildly. Seems I carried a spare battery around because of that. Nothing has really changed. Use the hell out of your phone and it drains. We just have a new thing called 4g that adds some extra drain. Going to be the same with any other 4g LTE phone.
The problem I ran into when using a similar rule is that the Market and MMS (and probably other things) won't work with Cellular data disabled for some reason, even if WiFi is present.
You are correct. However, if I want to check the market or MMS I manually turn it on. Minor inconvenience for me. I could turn that on for while the phone is on and give it a try to see how it affects me. Should not be a great deal since it will only activate when the phone is on. I am more concerned about getting my text messages and phone calls during the day.
