Please help this super Droid newb

Got droid X yesterday, was loving it , til last night i accidentally killed/disabled/did something terrible to my device via the stupid app or task killer thing. now i have nothing on my device except the ability to hold the search button down which activates browser . are my apps gone? or just hiding out from my supreme noobness? wtf did i do?

Anywho, harrod12; you leave out much detail in your post. Try a factory reset.

1. Power off your device.
2. Hold down the "home" button while pressing the power button.
3. Once an exclamation mark-related image appears on your screen press the "search button".
4. There than should be an option that says "wipe data/factory reset." Scroll to this option with the volume keys, and select it with the camera button.

You should be able to figure out what to do from here.
