Plastic snap-on case and battery door

Does a plastic snap-on case like this one

Without better pictures it is impossible to fully determine, but I would say any case would need removal before removing the battery cover - so yes it would make it more difficult.
 
Odd Question -
Almost like you are asking - leave plastic factory battery cover off (It's Not a Door) - and just use the silicone slip on cover only.

Recall the cars of the mid 80's - I was dealer service tech then -
It would alway announce - "Your Door is Ajar" - no it's not & quit messing with me.

Now we argue with the GPS - guess nothings changed.

I've seen the battery cover referred to by vendors as the battery door. I think they did that after some users, having been told to remove the battery cover, peeled/pried the battery pack apart.
