Placing internals in a new frame

My S3 fell the other day and shattered the glass greatly and damaged the frame. I have a buddy who has an S3 and he said he'll just give it to me. Thing is, he has sprint and I have Verizon. I was just wondering if there is a way I could take out the internals of my phone and put it into his frame? if not, are there any other solutions? Also, touch screen still works, glass is just shattered.

So what I learned from the video, all I have to do is remove the back casing and motherboard from my phone, do the same to his, and just replace mine in his frame?

i didnt watch the video, although i dont see why it would be any more than swapping parts as you said.
its the same phone just different service providers.
