We are just a few days away from the official announcement of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. As you would expect we have also seen plenty of new rumors over the past several days. An image showing off what is said to be screen protectors for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL has been floating around the web. The image appears to confirm one key feature of the upcoming Google flagship devices. Google devices prior to the Pixel had front facing speakers for a very immersive media viewing experience.

The screen protectors for both devices have notches which seem to be specifically for front facing speakers. The front facing speakers have also been mentioned in many previous Pixel 2 leaks, but we have not seen anything to confirm front facing speakers on the Pixel 2 XL. Hopefully both devices will get the feature especially considering the devices may not have a headphone jack.

I'm 95% certain that the Pixel 2 will be next phone. It's the closest in overall physical dimensions to my current Droid Turbo. Only the large chin and smaller screen keep me from being 100% sure.

Sure the Turbo has a chin too, but at least Moto put capacitive buttons in there to help make more useable screen space. The dual speakers on my wife's Moto X Pure give really good sound, so I'm hopeful that P2 will perform as well in that department too.
