PIN Bypass

I realize this isn't the proper place for this discussion, but if someone knows a better location to move this thread, please do so.

My brother recently passed away. I would like to find what was on his phone, but it is PIN protected. I cannot figure out the PIN. Any thoughts on how to bypass?

The phone appears to be a Sprint LG Optimus.

Not sure of anyway other than knowing his gmail account info.
