Picture texted to me to gallary??

How do I transfer a picture texted to me to my gallary? I want to email it then and I do not see that option while it is in the body of the text message.

If you're using the stock messaging app, just long press the picture in the text message. You'll be given a popup menu. Select "Save attachment." Select the attachment in the next popup (this seems redundant to me), and tap "Save." It will saved in a folder called "Download," and that folder will show up in your gallery.
