Photos on Internal Storage or SD card?

I know how to set things up so that photos taken with the camera are stored either on the SD card or Internal Storage. Question is, what's the smarter way to go? What are the pros and cons of each? Any rationale in manually copying, so photos are on BOTH? I seek the wisdom of experience, of which I have very little.

Thanks!!

My two cents would be to put external provided sufficient space because of the phone gets damaged beyond repair you may lose those photos on the internal storage.

Having them in both places would simply use double the space for the photos and would probably show in the gallery twice, if neither of these things bother you, then you can have on both

Thanks very much, TJ ... I was kinda thinking along those lines, as well, but getting some affirmation from someone brighter than I am [read: almost anyone] is very reassuring. Consider me assimilated. Thanks!!

Your safest bet is to store the photos on the external card. I go a step further and upload them to either my dropbox account or photobucket (both are free - and there are many more alternatives). One caveat though about automatic photo uploads is that it can use up a lot of your battery if it is uploading a lot of photos. I had to set mine on wifi only while on charger.

Lastly, the external storage card is also your best bet as it is not erased in the event you have to do a factory data reset.
