Phone turns OFF when I start a text... Motorola droid 2.2

Ok so yesterday I tried texting my friend and my phone shut off... I was like "ok whatever" started it back up waited for everything to load started to text and it did it again... 7 times before i said screw it. Doing it again today kinda making me mad now...

I do not have insurance on my phone as the warranty is now void b/c I rooted it.

have you tried clearing the cache of your messaging app?

Sometimes when too many messages are stored up that can cause the app to crash as well (and sometimes phone reboot). It happened to me a couple times on my Dinc when I had it. Sometimes you gotta let the messages go:frown:

Yea so far so good! See i have messenger, kik, and just downloaded skype... I have NEVER cleared the cache... i have had this phone for 2.5 yrs or so... :/
