Phone numbers no longer hyperlinks

On my Motorola Droid 1 if someone emailed me a phone number to any of my email accounts it would show as a hyerlink. I loved this. I could just click the # and the Dialer would come up.
Doesn't work on the Dinc2.
Anyone have any ideas why?

Yeah... It's a different phone. The dincs don't do that.

I'm looking at an email in the stock Gmail app right now on my Dinc 2 that has a phone number converted to hyperlink. It might need to be in a specific format. Mine was listed as xxx-xxx-xxxx

You mean the Google GMail app, I assume? Not the HTC email app?

I am trying to avoid using the actual GMail app (for myself).

What I really want this in is Exchange.
I talked one of my bosses into the DINC2. The one thing he hates is not being able to click phone numbers in his Exchange account. His secretary will send him phone numbers of people to call pretty frequently.
Other then that he LOVES it, though.

I have no idea what gmail does. Never used it... never will!
