Phone not Charging while powered on?

Hmmm, I have a problem. My phone will not charge while powered on. It will charge if I power it off. Whats going on? Any Ideas? Help!

Yes. Same charger that came with the phone. Weird that it doesn't recognize the charger while the phone is powered on. I can go into settings>battery and it shows it's not charging. Not quite sure what is going on.

Got it figured out. It was a bad plug. The little plug that your USB cable plugs into. I had to go to my local verizon store and do some different testing with other cables, but we got it figured out. Luckily they just pulled a plug out of another Nexus box and just gave it to me. Happy!
