Phone idle sucking up battery?

Had the Maxx for several weeks now. Just recently it seems like the battery is discharging faster than it did originally and looking at the usage display, "phone idle" is using up nearly as much power as the display! I restarted a couple times last night but the issue remains. Any ideas? I make very few actual phone calls maybe 2-3 a day.
