Personalizing text mssg ringtones

I wanna be able to personalize my text messages. but its only letting me use the default ones that are already on the phone. How do i personalize it?!?!? Thanks!!!:greendroid:

You will need to put your ringtone/Notifier files on your SD card in a folder named /ringtones, and /notifiers, you can also put alarms in a folder called /alarms. I have all if those folders in a folder called /media to keep the clutter on my SD card's root directory to a minimum.

Then use an app like Handcent for SMS. It allows you to personalize your ringtones for your various contacts.
