What are you on now?

You can get voodoo to backup root through updates

Otherwise just re root its quite simple

I'm not running anything was just running stock rooted til it lost root when it updated that's why I was wondering if there was a permanent root process out

Like sl4sh3r said, just reroot the device. After you do that, download OTA Rootkeeper by Project Voodoo. It can keep your root through updates, so you won't have to reroot the phone.
