Past appointments gone

Hello,
I have a Dx and was wondering if there was a way to get the calendar to keep or show more appointments?
I think I'm looking to extend the time of days / months, that my appointments appear on my device.

Now they vanish after about a month and I would like to be able to go back a few weeks, months and review past appointment info.

you wont be able to do it on the phone because it will only sync so far back but if you sync with google calendar you can go all the way back to the beginning if you goto calendar.google.com from a computer.

Thought there was an option that allowed one to choose from 30, 60, indefinite days?
There is no option like this on the device?
I'm using gMail.
