We thought it would be useful to cull some of the info on the web regarding which devices would be getting Android 4.4 KitKat and when. This list might be a bit premature as it only contains a small smattering of devices. Also, some of the dates are vague at best. Still, it's worth taking a glance at. Also, feel free to update this thread with even more info as it becomes available. Here's what we know so far:

Motorola confirmed that it is coming but didn't share any timeframe details
  • DROID Ultra
  • DROID Maxx
  • DROID Mini
  • Moto X
HTC
  • HTC One – sometime in 90 days
  • HTC One mini - sometime in 90 days
  • HTC One max - sometime in 90 days
  • HTC One Google Play Edition – sometime in 15 days
Samsung
  • Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition – “the coming weeks”
Nexus Devices
  • Nexus 4 – “the coming weeks”
  • Nexus 7 – “the coming weeks”
  • Nexus 10 – “the coming weeks”

I wonder now that older devices can run 4.4 if we will see devs bring life to devices like og droid, tbolt, or bionic.

I hope this comment: Nexus 7 – “the coming weeks”, means the update covers the entire Nexus 7 platform, including the WiFi version.
I already have the SDK for the 4.4 build, so I know they can provide an OTA update whenever they wish.

It undoubtedly refers to all versions, though IIRC, the WiFi versions always get updates first as they have less carrier hanky-panky to deal with...

Hope my LTE version gets an update soon.

Owning the HTC One, and watching the timeline on 4.3 (which has been released for other carriers but has been delayed a month for Verizion), it's a little surreal to think "Wow, I could have 4.4 in 90 days."

But we all know better, don't we? Even if it's in Verizon's grubby hands in 90 days...how long will the tweaking and quality-assurance testing take? I'll try not to hold my breath.

Will the note 2 see this?

According tthe yanogenMod, the G2 will see Kit Kat in a few weeks. They want to continue on 10.1 or whatever version they're on before moving to 11. I know it's not an official update but just a heads up to G2 users. And by the way, the latest monthly snapshot (4.3) is running superbly. I've never cared for CyanogenMod (dislike ran back to OG DROID days), but this is the first time I've given them another chance and I'm quite surprised. Almost as surprised about how wonderful a device LG put out.

Thanks for the info!
