Pandora vs Last.fm vs Slacker ?

So here is my latest debate. I used to always use Pandora, but I recently discovered there are alot of alternatives. So just like the title says - which one do you use and why? Thanks!

Slacker is good if you want a good premixed station. The genres are typically ok in the variety. I have started comparing slacker to FM radio with farless commercials. Their custom stations are just as solid if not more so than pandora. The ability to ban an entire artist from a station is extremely handy. And if you go on to pay the 3 bucks a month you get unlimited skipping, no commercials, and most noteably station caching. Meaning you don't need a connection to listen to the stations you select to cache. Though the feature has a few issues on the Droid 1 it was still very worthwhile to have when in a no service zone. For free side by side its a fair competition between Slacker and Pandora.

Last.FM is a little different. It comes with unlimited skips for free and the ability for users to tag songs is the best feature any streaming service could have. It let's users organize the songs rather than a few "professionals" customizing music they've probably never liked. Pandora and Slacker both have that problem, but its forgiveable. The biggest problem with Last.FM is that the stations tend to drift into obscurity after an hour or so forcing you to change the station yourself. It gets annoying when you use the service all day at work.

I hope this was helpful to someone...

I am using last.fm because it is also available on the xbox360. This way I only have manage a single user profile across my pc, phone, and home entertainment audio.

I loved Pandora (still do), but I think Slacker's audio quality sounds better going thru my car stereo. Anyone else notice?

Subsonic

Lets you access all the music on your home pc. One time $10 charge and has been worth every penny.

Orb sucks.

Slacker just greatly improved their sound quality in the new update, that adds a "high quality" option within settings. I agree it sounds great in the car or home audio systems.
