Otterbox with car mount

I just got the Otterbox Commuter case for my Droid X. I have a car mount that I use to run the app Torque for my truck to run diagnostics and that sort of thing. Is there a way to modify the mount so that the phone will fit in it with the case still on? I've heard of shaving the little nubs but that wouldn't help because the phone is to wide to go on there. Maybe I could cut it wider? Thanks

I haven tried to see how to cut mine... I don't think there is an alternative car dock??

Ok so im wanting to mod my car mount so that the phone will fit with the otterbox commuter case on. I think if i can dremal out the 2 spots as shown in the pic below i think it'll work. It is the lip that runs along the entire front edge of the mount. I just want to make sure if i cut it there that it wont totally shatter the mount. So will it work?

Be careful of the plug, have you taken it apart to see where your wires are?

Honestly, no but I just take mine out of the case. It doesnt bother me to much.
