OTA Update Fail?

Ok so someone has to explain how to get this to work for me
I'm trying to update to 2.33 or whatever the new update is OTA
My phone is rooted but I've read countless times that if you're rooted and you update it just unroots your phone as you update which is what happened the last time.
I do have some bloatware "removed" because I renamed it and I dont know if I need to change all of that back or not (hopefully there is a way where I dont need to?)
Any help?
I'm currently running 2.3.15 rooted.

The update should give you an error and say what file it failed on. If that file was renamed/changed, then you have to put it back to stock for the update to work.

I would rename all the ones you did and try again, or try the update, find what it failed on, rename that file, try again, rinse, repeat.

If you get Titanium Backup you can just freeze the applications instead of renaming them, saves lots of time.
