Open Camera Not Zooming in

I have had Open Camera for quite a while without problems. I have a Nokia 7+ phone

Today though it is not zooming in, while taking a picture / video

I can look at the screen, zoom in and all seems OK, but as soon as I hit the button to take a picture, or start a video the picture returns to the non-zoomed image.

I deleted the app and reinstalled it, but the problem remains.

Any ideas please ?

Welcome to the forum.. so just to make sure the regular camera functions with the zoom no problem. It's just the app correct? Did you do any update on the phone recently? Maybe mess the compatibility?
