OnePlus Says "Jelly Scrolling Is Normal"

Many people had considered returning what they considered to be defective OnePlus 5 units when they began to experience what they call a "Jelly Scroll" effect. They decided to hold out and wait on a software update to hopefully fix the issue. It seems like no fix will be coming to the device.

The OnePlus 5 uses the same level of high-quality components as all OnePlus devices, including the AMOLED display. We’ve received feedback from a small number of users saying that at times they notice a subtle visual effect when scrolling. This is natural and there’s no variance in screens between devices.

If the effect seen when scrolling bothers you your only option at this point will be to return the device as OnePlus has made it clear they won't be attempting to fix it.

who knows, maybe they can't fix it so they claim it is normal. one thing for sure, it could hurt future sales.
