So, i just bought my droid x a few days ago. I am still learning all the tricks of it and so far it has been amazing. really blows the blackberry i had out of the water! anyway, i got my hands on a bunch of ebooks and they seem to be different file extensions. i am able to read them but takes 2 or 3 apps to read the differnt ones because of the file extension.

now, 2 part question.

1)is there an ereader that will read all the file extensions
2) if the answer to 1 is no then, is there a converter i can use (pc) to make them all the same extensoin?

thanks so much

I would like to know this also.

I use the Kindle app everyday, but I wonder about a universal reader myself.

Try the reader/converter Calibre. You should be able to convert between common formats like pdf, epub, and some of the not so common formats. YMMV, on how nice the formatting remains after the conversion though.

+1 for Calibre. And I prefer the Kindle app, personally.

I have used Caliber for a while, but it doesn't work with books DL'ed from my local library.

Calibre will not transcode DRM protected files. Files from the library have DRM.
